Close your eyes to see your Vision!

Updated: Oct 4, 2021

What is having a vision for your life? Do we own the vision or is it given to us? These are the important questions asked every day. A vision is the product of purpose and adds clarity to your life when you have a vision. Over the years I can remember like it was yesterday when I received the vision for my life. Seeing your vision gives you clarity and direction for your life. Anything not in alignment becomes a distraction. We have many distractions to avoid in life. Your eyes show you today, while your heart shows you tomorrow. There are two different visions, the one you create yourself and the one given to you. The vision you create yourself may or may not be fulfilled but the one given to you can not be stopped on Earth. My belief is that anyone can create a vision for themselves based on what they see, but a God-given vision is placed on the heart. A vision on the heart will pull you every day! You will either recognize it or disregard it. Everyone is not given the same vision based on the fact that everyone has a different purpose in this world. We all were created differently with a different purpose to serve the world. Knowing your gift and applying it with your vision to serve the world, should be the focus! Everything else could be a distraction!

Creating a strategy to operate on is the key to your vision. Planning belongs to us! The quote "we don't plan to fail, we fail to plan" is very true. We all either operate on a plan/strategy toward your vision or you operate in someone else’s strategy. Your vision gives you clarity in your life. Either option is ok, but you will know it every day when your vision is placed on your heart. Waking up to do something you really do not want to do will become difficult to do when a vision is placed on your heart. Nothing you do will change this feeling. You can go get five different college degrees, work in three corporate industries, and make a ton of money and still feel like something is pulling you. When this happens, you need to act on it! Time is your most important asset in life so using your time wisely is very important. We all are here for a certain amount of time, so acting on your vision is connected to your fulfillment. The old saying “woulda, coulda, shoulda” should not be in your mindset. Act now!!! If you do not have a vision, then it is ok to work with someone that does. Proverbs 29:18 where there is no vision the people will perish. Think about this! Here are a few questions to ask yourself:

1. Who are you?

2. What is pulling on your heart every day?

3. What is your natural strength?

Once you answer these questions write the answers down and create an action plan using your strengths.
